Zinc alum and fireproof acoustic thermal conditioning.
Designed for very rainy areas, with strong winds, hail or snow.
Asphalt shingle
ideal for calmer climates with little wind
Asphalt shingles are composed of a fiberglass or felt base that provides strength, coated with waterproofing asphalt; the top layer is covered with mineral granules that protect it from UV rays.
Main features
Installation flexibility : easy to adapt to the dome geometry.
Limited durability : requires more frequent replacement (15-20 years).
Attractive aesthetics : variety of colors and textures to match the design.
Greater weight compared to zincalum : requires more structural reinforcement (thicker wood)
Higher maintenance : Needs repairs or replacements over time.
Vulnerability to strong wind and hail : can be torn off by wind and offers no resistance to hail
Easy installation : no heavy equipment required.
Zincalum is a material composed primarily of an alloy of zinc, aluminum, and silicon. It is widely used in industrial, commercial, and residential roofing, especially in areas where a durable and much more resistant solution is required.
Main features
- High Durability : Zincalum has excellent corrosion resistance, giving it a long lifespan (30 to 50 years) even in extreme weather conditions (acid rain, intense sun, etc.).
- Lightness : It is lighter than asphalt shingles, which makes it easier to install and requires less structural reinforcement.
- Fire Resistance : Unlike asphalt shingles, zincalum is a non-combustible material, making it safer in the event of a fire.
- Low Maintenance : Generally does not require much maintenance.
- It requires a thermal-acoustic complement : In domes it is necessary to add a thermal-acoustic conditioner.
